Jesus Christ undoubtedly fulfilled major prophecies in the Old Testament Scriptures. Peter was right in saying that Jesus "is the Christ (Messiah), the Son of the living God."
This solid rock confession is the means by which a person is saved; namely, Believing that Jesus is who he says he is. Peter was fully convinced (Believed) that Jesus was the Christ.
Still not convinced that Jesus is the Christ?
Since Belief is a byproduct of being exposed to facts. Consider the following proofs that Jesus is in fact the Messiah prophesied about in the Old Testament as well as the mathematical odds of these prophecies being fulfilled.
Jesus is the Christ (Messiah) and he guarantees eternal life to all who believe in him for it. For God so loved the World that He gave his one and only Son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but would have Eternal Life.
