I can't stop reading Romans 8:1. The ultimate freedom verse!
Jesus picked up the tab and left the tip. We have nothing to contribute to the payment for sin. God will never see us without seeing his perfect Son. When he sees us he sees the righteousness of Jesus, which is perfectomundo!
The doctrine of imputation means that the moment we had faith in Christ, he took our sin and we took his righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Mind blown! Thank you Jesus.
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."This verse doesn't say we are free from condemnation so long as people are not condemning us. We are free from condemnation because the verdict is over. We are covered by the blood of the lamb.
